Catalyst Extraction System

The major components of the catalyst extraction system developed for Oleochemicals consist of : High Pressure Jetting Unit which provides cutting power for the rotating turbo jets which are used to disintegrate the ceramic saddles and hardened catalyst and additional venture suction where required; a powerful high-head vacuum unit delivering a powerful suction capable of lifting hardened catalyst up to 20 metres; a combined suction / cutting nozzle which can cut and suck catalyst and saddles as well as cleaning the internal surface of the Moulty tubes.

The spent catalyst is removed from the tubes using a combination jetting / suction nozzle which can be used to cut saddles where required. The slurry is then conveyed to receiver bins located at the base of the reactor using the High-Head vacuum unit.
